In last 15 days i have seen many films but i did not have the urge to add my review .But after watching KANK (kRank--R =Rubbish would be better ) i couldnt resist the temptation give my views .I am also going to send this review and hope you will pass it on too, to people who have not seen it .I am usually a first day first show kind of a fan of Sharukh but work kept me from it in the first week(i hoped something had kept me from the film all the way ).I went to watch KANK at PVR ,Juhu (a good experience and food ) on a saturday evening and to my surpris ethe hall was half empty (the people s verdict is loud and clear)

Two couples Ab and Rm and SK and PZ are not exactly having a great married life though more for the shortcomings of the main lead SK and Rm .AB is the perfect husband and So is PZ the perfect wife (atleast that is what is shown in the movie unless some editing error has happened )The imperfects ,a rude, curt loser Sharukh and a cold rani fall in love .Honestly AM and PZ had more reasons to ditch their spouses.

Apart from the great production values and some moments of Amitabh this is a waste of money and time ,If you are a sharukh Khan fan you are gonna not like him that much anymore and going by the sick expressions in KANK and the trailers of DON i think a downslide is around the corner .

In a nutshell Karan Johars attempt to make a movie about imperfections is slightly gone awry .It would have worked if probably Sharukhs character was not such a loser ,Ranis was reasonable and maybe AB was a bit flawed and PZ was a bit of a cheat too.

No one identifies with the films ,even those who have strayed do not see themselves as losers ...

Too much is being written about Omkara as a shakesparean adaptation.It is good indian ,inspired cinema .

Hours before i was to check out this anticiapted film ...i was told by a movie buff who put on a ugly expression to say that it is a bad film.I had thoughts of shelving my plans but better sense and some goodluck with tickets on a sturday night prevailed.

A great adaptaion of Othello(frankly i did not know the shakesparean tragedy storyline and probablythats why i enjoyed the film witouth trying to relate and compare the chracters and scenes .....a contary to my experience with Maqbool aka macbeth which i knew it word by word from the orignal)

Set in badlands of UP ,a great back drop for the film ir revolves around the story of a succesor (Omi/devhgan ) nominating a younger scionvasu/oberoi over a more loyal and probably deserving senior saif/langda.The wicked game to overtutn this decision thru guile using omis love intrest ,his wife and the human vice of jealosy langad manges to change the course of their domain.

Great casting ,good acting and implied cinema at its best .Witout being said the you can read into the characters mind ---directors credit all the way .Slow in parts but not needless ...sub plots add to the tragic transcendence .Great dialogues ....some fould language ....but shudh dihati one liners that will give english movie dialogues a run .
Saif and Konkana sen are tops ......sure shot nominees for some awards in atleast one of many catrgories ...

A fun frolic start to finish .a multi starrer with lesser mortals ,has a non stop laughter quotient .A foursome devgan (the leader ),shraman (the sisssy),warsi (the loser)and tushaar(deaf and dumb) gate crash into a blind couples bunglow and take them for a ride pretending to be their long awaited grandson.One is the voice the other is the body while the all together pull each others leg in this comic caper .Great acting by Sharman,rawal,warsi,tushaar(showing great flair for comic timing)and ajay devgan in that order .

Have fun all the way .....

Jack Sparrow rules but the film does not live upto the expecatations. This Disney sequel to a fantastic surprise of three years ago is worth a watch though because it has moments ,fantastic visuals and above all Johhny Depp .Since the third part is being made simultaneously lot of focus is open plots to spend on your money on the next one .This becomes one ofthe reasons why the film does not rise to the occasions.

Good Pirates vs Bad deacaying pirates is a good spectacle .Bloom and keira ,the almost pirates ,go on parralel hunt for Sparrow to retrive his compass for the East India company and save themselves from gallows .While Jack tries to save his soul from the deacaying pirates who have th echest which has a beating heart of a die hard romantic.

Simple put is many sub missions with a different set of agendas entwined into one .there are great visual appealinf scenes like the escape from cannibals ,high adrenaline in sea battles with monsters .A new romantic angle is added with a spark between Elizabeth(keira ) and Jack(depp)...plus the uptight english commodore as the third jilted lover .

The open ended conclusions to make you wait for part 3 leaves you wondering with a hint of dissapointment .Great expectations brings about dissapointments .A good watch for Johny Depps mannerism and visual fantasy driven effects .

Special Note :Go without expectations and you might come out raving .Take it as roller coaster ride in Disney Land.

A Tarantino thriller -a great prospect for a film for a thriller fan.

A fun back packing trip gone wrong ....terribly .Two american friends set out on a trip across Europe looking for fun mostly wild sex .They meet up with another Icelandic guy on the way and trio set of for a sexciting diversion to Slovakia .With a promise of lot of fun and true to it they check into a hostel where your roommates are sexy gorgeous women ready to slip under the sheets thye moment you arrive .The fun begins as the first half wishes you could take a vacation like this one but the as the truth unravels -backpacking will never be the same again .

The hostel is actually a hunting ground for subjects for a mueseum of horror of a different kind .The bacpackers are subjects for rich sickos to torture these subjects to their hearts content.Drilling holes into chest ,gorging eyes ,plucking of nose and chopping human limbs add to the gore .

The protoganist is one of the trio who manges to escape killng a few of the perpetratos on the way .

Comment :A great watch for the thriller lovers.The transformation from the full of sex promise of the first half to the gory and macbre reality in the second half is brilliant -Tarantino Style.

Warning :you are bound to lose your appetite for the next couple of hours .
